Apr 28,  · I'm a big Beatles fan, although, I'm the first to admit that most of Ringo's post-Beatles recordings are pretty lame. The "Ringo" album is hands-down his best, followed by the very good "Goodnight Vienna". IMO, I think that "Stop and Smell the Roses" is his 3rd best album, but that still isn't saying a whole lot/5(11).

This album traveled down the same avenue as Please Please Me, though in reality, it was far different, being more warm, more authentic and responsive. Jan 03,  · Usually a Rhino Records album includes an interesting essay about the recording artist. But STARR STRUCK, a Rhino release, simply lists the tracks with a few photos and no commentary. The back cover of the CD, a photo of Ringo Starr shrugging his shoulders, seems to make the point that there's nothing to say. But I still rate STARR STRUCK three /5(9).
